As a guidance-distilled model from Flux Pro, Flux Dev achieves near-identical quality while requiring fewer computational steps.

The FLUX.1 family surpasses popular models like Midjourney v6.0, DALL·E 3 (HD), and SD3-Ultra in visual quality, prompt following, size and aspect variability, typography, and output diversity.

Flux Dev specifically preserves the entire output diversity from pretraining, meaning it can generate a much wider range of styles, compositions, and subjects than models that converge on a narrow "look."
